I have a history of having my plans changed by Mother Nature. And strangely enough it always seem to happen with hurricanes. Like hurricanes are my nemesis or something. Yesterday was no different.

The first time I realized he was following me I was alert, but I kept extra distance between us and didn't overthink it. I had an exit strategy and I assumed it was an isolated event so I kept my eyes peeled and brushed it aside. I didn't even mention it to anyone. I didn't know anything about him.
Good morning, Earthlings! Today is Earth Day - the day when we make an extra special effort to express gratitude and lovingkindness to our incredible Mother Earth! It's like the Mother's Day of planets. And although I'm inclined to believe that we should be living like every single day is earth day, sometimes Earth Day is a great starting point for making lasting changes or the kick in the pants we need to get us involved in an environmental community effort.
I am meeting my first student on my first day at a therapeutic riding center. Like me, Elli has vibrant red hair. She's petite with glasses and clearly very friendly because we just met and she has no lack for words. As we prep for the ride I learn bits and pieces about her. She's been riding for 20-something years. She's 23 years old. She's a writer - working on her first book. And she hates "going down the hill" during her ride.
I wrote this on March 14th, but ultimately decided to wait a while before I shared it with you all. It's definitely emotionally charged and a personal look into my brain, so I wanted to give myself a little space before I talked about it all. That time has passed and now I'm ready to share my experience with March 14, 2019. Maybe you've had an experience of this sort in your own life?
